Welcome to our group!
Nestled in a secluded area of the HeartLand of Turtle Island, is a beautiful place where all the good stuff is kept.
A Garden Island for the Soul.
Bittersweet Cultural Center is a non-profit center created to increase awareness and understanding through respect among people of all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, with a focus on environmentally-sensitive and sustainable lifestyle.
Bittersweet is located in north-central Indiana. Its forty acre landscape includes rolling meadows, woods, wetland areas, nature trails, and a spring-fed pond.
It also has and an organically grown garden, herbs, fruit orchard, grape arbors, berries, with many edible native plants.
A 3,000 sq ft. 5 bed, 2 bath home, and a 2,000 sq. ft. strawbale lodge sit upon this pictureseque and tranquil land.
Elder Patsy Clark has taught on, developed, and cared for this land for 20+ years with the help of her family and community. She is a true Wise Woman, Elder and Earthkeeper.
As she is considering a movement to downsize, we as her family and friends, and Board of Bittersweet have come together to give our honors to this amazing woman. We also wish to show the property to you, with the idea there may be someone out there that understands our beloved Bittersweet and will carry it forward with honor to our Mother-- and our Mother Earth.
We are still in the process of organizing a formal presentation for official buyers, so you have at once entered a dreaming session, an office workspace, and a gathering of kindred souls who know each other intimately.
Please do not be shy to jump in with questions or comments on this board. We have created groups for these types of discussions, found at the top of the page. You are also more than welcome to contact Patsy directly for inquiries.
